Since 1997, Cincinnati Music Academy has been providing award-winning voice lessons to students of all ability levels. CMA vocal coaches are among the most desired and experienced in the region. Singing lessons are a popular choice for many reasons. Strong vocal skills allow students to express themselves, build confidence, and improve public speaking. Voice lessons are also a great way for beginners to start their musical journey. CMA students often perform in a variety of professional and social settings.

In addition to private lessons, CMA voice students have access to 72 hours of Performance and Technique classes each year at no additional cost.
All Cincinnati Music Academy teachers have a college degree in music. Most instructors have been teaching professionally for more than 10 years.
- 46 30-minute private lessons per year
- 36 hours of Technique classes per year (at least three one-hour classes per month)
- 36 hours of Performance classes per year (at least two 90-minute classes per month)
All Technique and Performance classes are included with the monthly tuition. Students do not have to go to all of the extra classes but we recommend voice students attend at least two of these classes per month for the fastest development.

Students from our studios have achieved recognition beyond Cincinnati. We regularly have students who are awarded substantial scholarships at prestigious institutions such as New York University, Boston University, Eastman School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University, Indiana University, Depauw University, Northwestern University, and Miami University (Ohio), to name a few. We have students who have performed leading roles on Broadway in musicals such as Memphis A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder Les Miserables and Children of Eden, and who have sung roles for New York City Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Dayton Opera, Columbus Opera, and Whitewater Opera.
Cincinnati Music Academy is structured to attract experienced voice teachers with advanced degrees. These professional instructors manage their own studios under the “umbrella” of the academy and have long term commitment to our community.
While each voice studio is its own entity, there is great agreement among the studios as to effective instruction techniques and policies. The voice studios all offer a similar number of private sessions each year. In addition, their students may participate in over 72 hours of extra vocal education that the Academy offers. These excellent classes are designed to enhance the private lessons and to help students become more audition- and performance-ready. The classes are included in each teachers monthly tuition; students may participate as much as they can fit into their own schedules. Students who actively participate achieve their goals much faster and enjoy a sense of community with other active students. All of the voice studios also provide recital opportunities for their students.
Cincinnati Music Academy is a place where singers can grow and where the most important relationship, that of teacher and student, is highly respected.
