William Granlund, a senior at McNicholas High School, was the 2017 recipient of the Suddendorf Memorial Scholarship. William is a student of Dr. Richard Van Dyke at the Cincinnati Music Academy. The Suddendorf memorial scholarship is awarded to any student attending McNicholas high school who chooses to audition in front of a panel of judges. Out of the many who audition, the student who displays the highest level of musical excellence receives this $2,000 scholarship established in memory of 1993 McNicholas graduate Kimberly Joan Suddendorf. William performed the Toccata by Aram Khatchaturian for the scholarship audition.
