Summer is still in full swing, but if you’ve looked at the calendar recently you may have noticed the academic year creeping up! For performing arts students this means Fall musicals, school band, choir, orchestra, and college auditions.
Students who take ongoing private lessons are far more likely to get lead roles, principal chairs, solos, and college acceptance letters.
“Auditioning for musical theater productions and/or advanced choirs at our area high schools/community theater companies that feature Junior High and High School students is more competitive than ever. Most students need outside help to prepare for these auditions. Our Cincinnati Music Academy independent voice teachers can help you to achieve better results.”
–Paul McCready, CMA co-owner and Voice Department Director
“Colleges are seeking human beings, not static memorized performances. A coach needs to help prepare the student as an artist AND as a person for the journey of college auditions. It is a constant process, not a final product. Most students and parents don’t realize how much there is to know until they work with a CMA coach!”
–Gina Cerimele-Mechley, Acting Instructor
Each fall we hear from distraught students and families who have waited too long to prepare for auditions. We want to encourage students interested in top placements to make sure they have secured a lesson spot and are working with an instructor to prepare for competitive auditions.
