Voice Instructor

Claudia Neff

Claudia Neff is a classically trained soprano based in Cincinnati.

Claudia holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Gwen Coleman. While at CCM, Claudia sang the roles of Adele in Die Fledermaus, La Musica in Monteverdi’s l’Orfeo, and the Florentine Noblewoman in Mark Bucci’s Tale for a Deaf Ear. Also at CCM, Claudia gave three art song recitals with works in varying classical styles and languages, finding particular joy in Baroque chamber music and English-language song. She also performed as a soloist in large works by Bach, Rossini, and Brahms. Claudia has many years of choral experience, and is currently a professional chorister at Christ Church Cathedral. She also works with Roundabout Opera for Kids, bringing opera to schools and community centers in the greater Cincinnati area.

A Cincinnati native, Claudia began her musical journey here at CMA, and graduated from Walnut Hills High School. She strongly believes in the power of shared musical experiences, and is committed to the musical growth of the Cincinnati community.

Claudia believes that singing and acting are equally important parts of any well-rounded performance. She will ensure that her students receive comprehensive instruction that includes not only healthy vocal technique, but musicianship skills, character study, and diction. Her main goal is to empower young singers by providing them with the tools they need to take ownership of their musical development.
