Nancy Egan

A music teacher for over 25 years, Nancy brings a wealth of experience to each lesson, and is especially trained for beginners of all ages in guitar or ukulele. Nancy also relies on her graduate studies in elementary education in her lessons – and believes in a multi-faceted teaching approach to engage her students and discover how best to help them have fun and get the most out of their lessons. Egan is a trained Musikgarten teacher and has written for children’s musicals, and also performs locally. From 2010 to 2016, Nancy was part of local duo Silk n’ Suede with Stan Hertzman and released a CD entitled This Is What Love Looks Like. Egan enjoys singing, writing music, and helping her students hone their own performing skills in group classes and recitals.

Nancy was instrumental in developing the Discover Music for Kids program. A teacher with CMA since 2009, Nancy encourages her students to express themselves and assures any interested students that you’re never too old to learn!

In addition to graduate studies in elementary education, Egan has added songwriting and teaching children’s group classes to her repertoire.
