Cara Simpson teaches both Suzuki and Traditional violin and viola. She believes that the relationship formed between music teacher and student can be one of the most rewarding and impactful relationships in one’s life. Music lessons should first and foremost be fun, but also challenging. Her goals are to teach a love and appreciation for music, along with important life skills such as tenacity and discipline.

Cara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Kentucky in 2007. She developed a love for teaching with the UK String Project, where she had the opportunity to teach group classes and conduct student orchestras. Cara earned a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music in 2009. Since then, she has taught private lessons full time across the tri-state. Cara completed her Suzuki Book One teacher training with Kathleen Spring, and Book Two with Rebecca Sandrok. Her primary teachers include Margaret Karp, Dr. Catherine Carroll, and Masao Kawasaki.
