CMA Cello Teacher Performs for Conservatory’s 100th Anniversary

This past June, CMA Cello teacher, Dr. Gustavo Carpinteyro Lara,  participated in the 100th Anniversary of his former music school, Conservatorio de Musica del Estado de Puebla, in Mexico.  He was invited to perform as a soloist with the Conservatory’s Symphony Orchestra and performed the Fantasy for Cello and Orchestra by J. Massenet and the Fantasy on Little Russian Songs by D. Popper. Dr. Carpinteyro Lara joined the cello faculty of the C Fest International Cello Festival in Puebla Mexico. This festival was held from July 3-8 where he gave masterclasses, and again performed  as a soloist with the festival orchestra.
